Samantha Trotman Burman

Chair and Chief Executive Officer


Samantha Trotman Burman is the co-founder of Isleworth Group. She is the creator of the Group’s proprietary methodology for using peer connections to address issues facing families arising from young adults with social and emotional challenges. She is also the Executive Producer of scripted films, documentaries, videos, and live events of the Group’s media division.

Samantha is currently chair of the Advisory Board of Advisors for the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham, MA, and co-chair of the Behavioral Services Committee for the Beth Israel Lahey hospital system. She is co-chair of the Investment Committee and past trustee for the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (MSPCC).

In her prior professional career, Ms. Trotman Burman was a professional in M&A and Private Equity. Her finance career began at Wasserstein Perella, the legendary boutique investment bank established by Bruce Wasserstein. Samantha was an Associate at Bain Capital and the firm’s first female professional. She was a founding professional at Parthenon Capital, where she became a partner.

Samantha found her passion for providing peer support through her own lived experience navigating the fragmented and inadequate mental health care system. She has been offering her own blend of empathy, support, and information to countless parents over the past 10 years prior to founding Isleworth.

Ms. Trotman Burman holds a BA from Cambridge University in the UK, an MEng from the same institution, and an MBA from Harvard University.

A dual citizen of the United States and England, she spent her childhood in the U.K., Australia, and Michigan, during her father’s global career with the Ford Motor Company. She has been an equestrian since the age of 12 and enjoys hiking and boxing training.
